You might be forgiven for thinking that ULEZ-to-Ukraine must have completed, given that applications to the ULEZ ceased in September 2024.

It's definitely slowing down - Irko at British Ukrainian Aid tells me that the number of vehicles coming into the scheme has reduced now to a trickle of mostly vans. Van drivers have six months to decide whether to proceed with their ULEZ application, so there might even be some coming our way into March. Vans are spectacularly useful to Ukraine, so every single one is welcome. On top of this, my contact at Transport for London says that there is a backlog in processing applications, so the truth is that this whole gigantic process is still ongoing. Finally, there are approximately fifty vehicles sitting in the BUA parking compound waiting to go (above picture, January 2025), so there's still a lot of work ahead to get these vehicles safely delivered to Ukraine. As soon as TfL publish the final figures later this year, I'll update the petition again, and we'll take a look at what we achieved together. Thanks as ever for all the support.
