Cooper has been at SCRAPS for almost 2 years and finally has a potential adopter. The potential adopter is qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable.  She has been meeting with Cooper and her dogs for the last month with no incidents. 

Director Ferrari is refusing this adoption stating he cannot adopt Cooper out as there is too much risk to 3rd parties as directed by the Spokane Legal Department. We urge everyone to reach out to Director Ferrari jferrari@spokanecounty.org and his boss Cathrene Cat Nichols at cnichols@spokanecounty.org to explain and reverse his decision. We also encourage you to email your Spokane County Commissioner and for Director Ferrari’s resignation. He has absolutely no Shelter Management or Animal Welfare experience and should not be involved in making decisions about any animal’s future.
