Send Casey to the Democratic National Convention

Send Casey to the Democratic National Convention
The Issue
Update: A friend asked an excellent question.
"Does signing this mean I support the Democratic Party or Hillary Clinton?"
Nope!
This petition is for anyone who would like to know what goes on at the DNC from my point of view. You could be a Democrat, you could be thinking about becoming a Democrat or you could be a curious observer. Signing this isn't about what party you're from or who you support, it's about gaining a better understanding of the political process in our country.
The presidential primaries are extremely confusing!
- What are super delegates and who are they?
- What is caucusing?
- What's up with Bernie's haircut?!
I'm 36 years old and only just beginning to understand this whole process. I decided to participate this year so I could go to the Democratic National Convention (see Wikipeida) to get an inside look at what happens at these things and talk about it from the point of view of a guy who is trying to figure out what exactly is going on.
I am currently a district and state delegate for Hillary Clinton in Iowa and the vote for national delegates happens on April 30th.
Your signature will help me make a case for being one of the best representatives for the Democratic Party in the 1st District of Iowa.
I'm really looking forward to a transparency power level of over 9,000 in government and politics. I would like to serve as an example of the level of transparency that should (and will) exist in politics and government as we move into the future.
If you have questions for me...
- I have created an AMA (ask me anything) on Reddit
- You can Tweet, Face, Snaptagram or Tube me
- I've started a series of blog posts chronicling the why, how and what of being a delegate
This isn't about Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Trump, Democrats or Republicans. It's about being a CITIZEN in the greatest country on earth.
Quit bitching and do something!
