Send a Postcard to Tell Congress Not One More

The Issue

Richard Martinez, whose son Christopher was shot and killed at UC Santa Barbara has inspired Americans with this idea:

"Today, I'm going to ask every person I can find to send a postcard to every politician they can think of with three words on it: Not One More. People are looking for something to do. I'm asking people to stand up for something. Enough is enough."

Mr. Martinez is right. Not one more person should die because of our broken gun laws. Not one more father should lose his child to gun violence. And not one more politician should put the gun lobby ahead of the lives of Americans.

Our elected officers need to know that we will no longer tolerate inaction. Not one more person should die needlessly. Not one more.

Everytown for Gun Safety celebrates Mr. Martinez's courage, and we want to make his idea a reality.

By adding your name to this pledge, Everytown for Gun Safety will automatically mail a postcard (just like the one pictured above) in your name to each of your members of Congress and your governor to tell them that Not One More person should die from our broken gun laws.

Everytown for Gun SafetyPetition StarterI’m a Client Manager at Change.org, helping nonprofits find and connect with new supporters. Before coming to Change.org, I worked as a Strategist at Big Duck, which is a communications firm that works exclusively with nonprofits. Prior to that, I ran the Digital Engagement Department at Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA). I graduated from Fordham University and while I’ve lived in New York for over a decade now, I grew up all over the world as an Army brat. When I’m not geeking out over online engagement and social media for nonprofits, I am either taking a yoga class, cooking up something exotic, or running the Central Park loop.
