The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law is one of the reasons why there has an inflation. The inflation is the rate which the general goods and services are continuously increasing. According to the Republic Act 10963, or the Train Act, the sweetened beverages, and cigarettes price will increase but the government workers taxes will decrease. These are some reasons why some groups are fighting against the government because it is unfair for all the citizens in the Philippines.

As the TRAIN Law has been implemented in the Philippines, the inflation for the last quarter of the year has increased and the value of peso gets lower to the point that you cannot even buy a product that may usually acquire. Moreover, as inflation continuously dominates the market, the poverty also becomes rampant. The poor families became destitute ones. Based on a survey, 44% of 1,200 respondents considered themselves poor.

Through this petition, we want the senate, review the TRAIN Law because, it is one of the main problems faced by the country, because the poor people are the ones affected by this problem, because value of peso gets lower, because we want to lessen the price and the taxes on the goods and services.

As a concerned citizen in our country, we write this petition to lessen the inflation like what happened in Vietnam. They also have an inflation, and their government temporarily removed their Value Added Tax (VAT). This could be a good example as a solution to lessen the prices of goods by not imposing the TRAIN Tax.
