I love to hunt and fish and have been doing it all my life. For those of you that are not familiar with the latest HSUS shot to our outdoor heritage, SB 1221 proposes to eliminate the use of dogs when in legal pursuit of bear and bobcat here in California. It is just another step towards taking away our hunting here in California. We need to once again ban together and oppose this ridiculous effort to further restrict our outdoor activities. This is how HSUS works. First it's the use of hounds in pursuing bears and bobcats, next it's pointers, retrievers and finally eliminating the use of canines for anything hunting related. From here they move to eliminate all planting of upland game birds for clubs or junior hunts.
