What’s it going to take to get our elected officials to prioritize children over the people who rape them? It’s wrong, in a deep and profound way, that we even need to ask this question. But institutions and people who have been abusing children for decades, and covering it up, don’t want the truth to come out. They have millions of dollars to invest in lobbyists to protect their best interests and keep statutes of limitation for child sexual abuse on the books. What do children have? They have us. They have everyone who is reading this. They have everyone who has signed this petition. That’s huge, but kids can’t have too many supporters. Please, get some more people to stand with children. Share this petition with your family, friends and social media buddies. Tell them that kids are counting on them, and their support is the only way bad laws that harm kids will be changed.
