Rhode Island, Bring Back the Compact!

Rhode Island, Bring Back the Compact!
The Issue
Click Here To Ask Your Legislators To Support The Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact!!!
What It Is And Why We Care:
The Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) provides a multi-state license that allows nurses to practice and communicate with patients across state lines—both in-person and via telecommunication. The eNLC allows registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical/vocational nurses (LPN/VNs) to have one multi-state license, with the privilege to practice in their home state and other eNLC states without obtaining additional licenses.
Since 2014, RISNA has advocated each year for eNLC legislation to be re-introduced in the State House with little-to-no success. However, in 2023, two bills were introduced in both the House and Senate to move eNLC legislation forward:
Senate Bill #S0275, introduced by Senator Joshua Miller
House Bill #H5737, introduced by Representative Brian Kennedy
NOW IS THE TIME to reach out to your legislators to let them know that we want to bring back the compact!
