To: Every Democratic senator and senator-elect

Voters just gave you the Senate. They did not vote for more of the same.

This wave happened in spite of Chuck Schumer, not because of him. Five new Democratic senators ran against his leadership and won.

He is still talking about cooperation, not accountability. On Election Day, asked whether Democrats would work with Trump or hold him accountable, Schumer said that was "up to" Trump. Voters did not hand Democrats the Senate so Trump could decide what they do with it.

His record is capitulation. In March 2025 he gave Republicans the votes to pass their funding bill. In November 2025 the shutdown ended with nothing to show for it. Through every outrage of this administration, he has offered statements instead of a fight.

His own voters want him out. In an October NBC poll only 13 percent of registered voters viewed Schumer’s leadership positively.

Our demand: Vote against Chuck Schumer in the December leadership election, and say so publicly.
