This petition regards an oral flea medication called Trifexis which has caused permanent disease and death in thousands of dogs according to FDA but neither FDA nor Elanco the manufacturer will admit there is a link nor will they take it off the market.  They added some of the side effects to the label but that is it. It is a horrible disease, was only tested on 200 dogs before being put on the market and despite hundreds of testimonials on the FB page "Does Trifexis kill dogs" and thousands of FDA reports, they stubbornly refuse to do anything.  The purpose of this petition is to pressure both elanco and FDA to do more research and investigation of these cases and take the drug off the market in the meantime. My dog Scrub experienced these symptoms within 3 hours of taking a single pill, and fought the bowel disease and loss of appetite for a year under the care of a specialist while his weight went from 16 lbs to 8 lbs.  He died in my arms two nights ago.
