The Seminole County Commissioners are considering outsourcing the libraries to a for-profit Maryland-based company named Library Systems and Services (LS&S).  As a for-profit company, LS&S saves money by replacing staff and reducing the budget for books and materials.  This means Seminole County tax payers will have less qualified staff with fewer books, materials, and services; no more story times, teen events, summer book clubs or reading competitions, no more Teen Read or Kids Mean Business or any other event, no more TLC, puppet shows or science experiments, and when donating books to the library, no tax credit. 

Please join us and tell the County Commissioners you do not want your libraries to have a reduction in services.  You do not want the library staff to be let go.  You do not want libraries to be privatized.
