My name is Pearl and I am a mom. I want to buy sanitisers and wet wipes and hand wash to protect my children and the rest of the family but can't find them anywhere.  I went online and on different WhatsApp groups and read stories of other people who share similar challenges. 

Last few days all that we are hearing is wash your hands, maintain hygiene, use sanitisers. Some people purchased sanitisers, hand wash and soaps that promote killing of germs, especially the branded ones in large quantities and now we can't find them anywhere in the market. Some people are selling these items but for higher prices.

This is a public safety issue not a time to profit on sales. May I urge the producers, the manufacturers and retailers to make sanitisers affordable and not hike the prices. Please look within yourself and find in you the courage to be benevolent and give back to the community that has sustained your companies with regular purchases. This is the time for you to serve your customers, the very people who will continue to keep your business afloat. 

Another plea that goes hand in hand with this is the rationing of these products. May I request the retailers to ration the quantity of sanitisers, wet wipes and hand wash so everyone can buy it and use it. Remember to be safe, all of us need these products to maintain hygiene and we can't if it is not available or if it is too expensive.

Also please do not sell fake products, we shouldn't jeopardise the lives of fellow human beings. We are more than the number of your buyer, we are people who are alive and have families.

Please sign this petition and make a change so that we can have everything we need to prevent the spread of Coronavirus and keep ourselves and our families safe. This is my effort as a mom and a citizen of the world to keep not only my family safe but my world safe.
