Sega Spartan as a new Console
Sega Spartan as a new Console
The issue
What it does: Same as the dreamcast, but can play DVD’s, and maybe blu-ray discs
What Makes it different to those already on the market: whereas Plaything4 and Xbone have their bells and whistles as their selling point, The Spartan Has a sore lack of them as the selling point. No social networking integration (apart from an internet browser, introduced in the dreamcast), no pay tv integration and no camera.
Size and colours: Unknown
How it works: Much like any other console
Who are you targeting: Hardcore gamers, they are sick of Xbone, plaything and Nintendo/Nintendon’t/Pretendo/Notendo’s
Price: Between $89-$149
Where is it to be used: At home, of course (though you could try taking it to work, school, or we could use it as another arcade board)
When is it to be available: after the third game in sega’s 3 game sonic deal with Nintendo is released.
Specs
Media: DVD
Operating system: TBA (Maybe recycle the Dreamcast OS?)
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770T (Modified to accept blast processing, That’s right, Blast processing + Intel Inside = You better run, Xbox one, and Sorry Plaything, but after 4 Home consoles, 3 Handheld consoles, and 0 arcade boards, you are STILL not worthy)
Storage capacity: HGST Deskstar 7K1000.C 1TB HDD and/or VMU (Compatible with Dreamcast VMU’s as well as Spartan VMU’s)
Memory: RAM 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM, GPU 1720+ MB (uses Intel HDGraphics 4600)
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 2xxx with 128 MB GDDR3 SDRAM (ShaderModel 4.0)
Sound: 7.1 surround sound
Online Services: SEGAnet
Backward Compatibility: Dreamcast, Saturn, Mega Drive (32x required to play 32x games), Master System and sg-1000
