According to the project started by Yu Suzuki (creator and director of the Shenmue saga) to create a Kickstarter campaign for Shenmue III, lots of people asked him if there are plans for the HD versions of Shenmue 1 & 2 and he answered that the property rights for Shenmue 1 & 2 belong to SEGA, so he is not in a position to comment on that. But fans really desire to play again those games and new generations of gamers would have the possibility of knowing by their hands what Shenmue meant for the entire industry. So we ask SEGA to produce an HD version of these games for PC and PlayStation 4 (which are the platforms selected for the third chapter of the game by Suzuki-san himself).
