Sonic Underground was a uniquely incredible TV series running from January 6, 1999 to October 22, 1999- only about 9 months total. In that time, forty episodes were released, each contributing to the fascinating world of Sonic and his siblings.

Although the show was cancelled before it ran its course, fans still haven't forgotten Sonia, Manic, or Queen Aleena. Fanart is still being drawn, fanfiction is still being written, and many fans are still waiting for closure after all this time.

However, it wouldn't make much sense to add an ending to a series nearly two decades after its cancellation- for a number of reasons, it simply isn't plausible. But there is one other option: reboot the series altogether, maintaining the original story and allowing it to have the beginning, middle and end it deserved, all while amending the inconsistencies and rather poor character designs from the original show.
