Southport residents , visitors and retailers do not welcome the Orange Lodge parade. It is a day of drunken debauchery that has its roots in a violent past that holds no resonance with local people. We do not want to take our children to the parks, shop the shops or be anywhere near this threatening out of date excuse for drunkenness. Take it to Aintree racecourse or somewhere else
