The Issue

The 36 dogs that suffered in the Brooklyn Rd house were voiceless in their dire situation. They endured unspeakable conditions, drastically underscoring the need for cruelty laws and their enforcement. The dogs who faced this tragedy were found in varying stages of distress, malnourishment, and trauma. These were victims in dire need of medical attention long before their rescue. This tragedy is unfortunately imprudently common. According to the Humane Society, nearly 1 million animals a year are abused or killed. These 36 dogs are part of that sickening statistic.

WE DEMAND BOTH INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED TO BE INVESTIGATED AND CHARGED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT BY THE STATE OF VERMONT. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED!

We must not let these 36 dogs' suffering be in vain. It is a call to strengthen our laws, our punishments, and our societal responsibility towards animals. We trust in the legal system to bring justice for these animals, and we charge public officials to make these laws robust and their enforcement swift. We have a responsibility to protect those who cannot protect themselves. By signing this petition, you demand justice, stricter laws for animal cruelty, and effective but humane management scenarios for animals in distress. Raise your voice for the voiceless – sign and share the petition.
