Please help by signing this petition intended for decision maker, Governor Newsom of California (as of 2020), for mercy and reconsideration of the harsh and excessive penalty in the 2014 sentencing of Alphonso R. Williams. Conviction: aiding and abetting, 2nd degree robbery by fear, and accessory to kidnap to commit robbery; no weapons involved, no bodily harm, perpetrator(s) apparently manipulated employees to the back of the store they were actively pursuing - thus qualified the kidnapping charge.

Despite an alibi, testimony from four (4) key witnesses placing Mr. Williams at home and actively using social media during the occurance of the crime, and physical evidence presented but disregarded by post trial courts, linking another individual [by description], Mr. Williams was still found guilty by jury and sentenced to life with the possibility of parole in 2027. At this time, Mr. Williams has served at least 10 years and counting.

Mr. Williams' educational background and the silver lining of life experience will better serve our at risk community through mentorship and life skills programs.

Let's encourage Governor Newsom to bring immediate relief to this extreme punishment and make a positive adjustment in this broken system.
