Two innocent hearts stopped beating too soon, and our family will never be the same. A horrifying car accident earlier this year took the lives of two precious children, aged 13 and 1. The perpetrator, who is at fault, remains at large— an appalling injustice given the severity of the crime. The devastation in our family is profound; not only have we suffered a loss beyond measure, but we also endure the ongoing torment of knowing that the suspect walks free. 

On January 26, earlier this year, Alexandra went to pick up her little sister and had her niece and cousin in the car. While trying to make a turn onto her street a white van rear ended her car, despite emergency personnels swift appearance to the scene both Gulliana and Analia did not make it and were pronounced passed at the scene.

Analia was a precious sweet soul with a beautiful smile, her life was just getting started. She barely started developing her own personality and barely was able to reach any milestones. We will never know what it is to see her start her first day of school or say her first full sentence. She loved to be around her family, all she knew was love. Gulliana was a beautiful young girl who just started her life, She was always a positive person to be around and knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. She loved her video games and being silly. Both girls won’t go without justice. Their lives were just getting started and were ripped away from them.

The individual responsible for the crash must face serious consequences to ensure justice and prevent future incidents. Their reckless actions have caused significant harm and disrupted the lives of many. Holding them accountable is essential to uphold the law and demonstrate that such behavior is unacceptable. By imposing a penalty, whether it be imprisonment or another form of consequence, we send a clear message that endangering others' lives will not be tolerated. This not only serves as a deterrent but also provides a sense of closure and justice for the victims and their families.

Cops never tested him for drugs or alcohol and he was able to end up being able to sleep in his bed comfortably that same night while our family was trying to process and mourn the loss of our precious girls. 

In 2019, there were nearly 4,000 fatalities in motor vehicle crashes involving young people aged 13 and below. What makes our situation unbearable is the fact that the alleged suspect remains free without facing any consequences, contributing to a devastating statistic of almost 34% of hit-and-run fatalities remaining unsolved (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, NHTSA).
