Seek Justice by DEMANDING a Reinvestigation with a Controversial Death Case
The Issue
KEPT QUIET AND HIDDEN RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSE AND IN YOUR BACK YARD.
Father of one, 21-years-old, who was even giving a close friend a mental health check with a sincere "You good?" message just hours before Dubuque Sheriff's Department and Dyersville Police Department state he allegedly killed himself, even after missing the target the first two shots.
Insufficient evidence gave law enforcement and attorney's office even more reason to dismiss the pleas from the family, begging for a reinvestigation and answers. BEGGING FOR THEM to just CORRECTLY AND EFFECIENTLY DO THEIR JOB.
As members of a close-knit community, it was distressing to find out a family has gone 11 agonizing months of silence about a young father's sudden and mysterious demise. Even more saddening was the insubstantial way his death was ruled as suicide when the circumstances suggest otherwise. Our law enforcement kept this a secret from the entire community because they understood what they were doing was wrong. This should cause an uproar. We should not even think for a second this is okay.
This 21-year-old wasn’t merely a statistic, he was a vibrant life, a father, a member of our community whose loss has left a void that cannot be filled. Our shared grief amplifies when the fact surfaces that no comprehensive investigation was conducted into the circumstances of his death. His life was ruthlessly taken, and it seems, the offender walks free with impunity, protected by the opaque shadow of silence. Unlawful actions have been screened in this process, plunging our community into a depth of dismay over our entrusted law enforcement's actions.
Nationwide, trust in law enforcement is critically affected by such instances where justice is overlooked. According to a survey by Pew Research Center, only 31% of the public believes that law enforcement agencies are doing an outstanding or good job in holding officers accountable for their misconducts (source: Pew Research Center, 2020). We demand an unbiased and thorough reinvestigation into the case to reveal the truth about the death of the young father. In this quest for justice, no stone should be left unturned, making sure that every detail is thoroughly examined, every lead pursued, and every question answered.
With this petition, we urge the concerned authorities to reassess the case with the gravity it deserves. Let's strive to retain the credibility of our law enforcement, ensuring that justice isn't just done but is seen to be done. Release the police report to the media. Investigate the witnesses involved. Subpoena the PHONE RECORDS THAT WERE DELETED AFTER ALLOWING THE PRIME SUSPECT TO TAKE FROM THE VICTIMS LIFELESS BODY! Please lend your voice to this call for justice by signing this petition.
Who do we go to when they own law won't even follow the law? When will it stop? They will just continue and get worse if we allow this to continue to happen. Those who are under oath to protect and to serve our community.
"Everything was handled correctly" after they begged him to demand a reinvestigation.
EVERY DAY WE NEED TO BE SENDING EMAILS TO THE FOLLOWING DEMANDING THE FOLLOWING REQUESTS, and we will stand and raise our voices every day until something is done.
