We, the undersigned—including those committed to defending human rights worldwide—urge the Federal Government to conduct a thorough investigation of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). As a powerful lobbying organization shaping US-Israel policy, AIPAC wields influence that demands transparency regarding any potentially illegal activities or violations of tax regulations.

For too long their actions may have enabled the ongoing oppression and violence endured by Palestinian civilians under unlawful occupation, where over 18,700 lives have been tragically lost, including 7,800 children deprived of life’s joy. As concerned citizens witnessing such disregard for dignity, we question policies enabling repression’s continuation and demand accountability from all influencing American stances.

Only by upholding democratic standards of legality, ethics and international human rights can past harms be remedied. We seek justice through authorities taking actions to uncover and remedy unlawful conduct, securing dignity and equality and assuring citizens their leaders protect rights for Israelis and Palestinians alike through peaceful respect.
