For approximately a month now, a stray black steer has made the Dickie and Carpenter Rd areas in Officer, VIC his temporary home. This beautiful boy, seemingly unowned, has stirred mixed feelings of concern, fear, and sympathy among locals. 

Despite several public posts inquiring about the steer's owner, no one has come forward to claim the animal, thus beginning our emergence in a poignant issue of urban wildlife management. This black steer not only results in a potential hazard for motorists but also triggers worry for its own welfare. Having no hay, no herd, and no shelter in the midst of winter, the condition of this steer begs timely attention.

Local councils, AG Victoria, and other societies have been informed but efforts must be pooled for more immediate action. Reports have been sent but this issue calls for more than just conversations—it calls for swift, organized action.
