Dear signers,

Thanks to your support, our petition is in the news! I was interviewed by my local paper and went on ABC radio as well. I've also been reaching out to politicians to get their support, and things are slowly progressing.

Please keep sharing the petition to help us get 10,000 signatures

By improving our fuel efficiency standards to align with those of the rest of the developed world, we will increase our uptake of electric vehicles in Australia.

I have reached out to my federal MP who has promised me to raise the petition with others who can help. I'm also working with Solar Citizens, an independent, community-based organisation of solar owners, so we can direct our combined energy towards making better fuel efficiency standards a reality.

Please share the petition to help us reach the next milestone of 10,000 signatures

The news article about the petition also highlights Woolongong-based US energy advisor Saul Griffith's reasons for moving to EV: "...there are a series of other advantages to EV ownership that rarely rates a mention, including reduced noise pollution, cheaper and simplified servicing, no toxic chemicals and of course the ability to sell the electricity stored in the car back to the grid at peak times or indeed to blackout proof your home or business."

Together, we will make this happen.
thank you

Debi
