This petition comes from a deeply personal place. Ark Aid Street Mission is providing over 1,300 unique basic needs and advocacy interactions to over 400 individuals daily. Each week, one person moves into long-term sheltering, 20 engage in recovery work, and 37 receive some form of medical care. This collective effort is zealously carried out by over 600 volunteers and 100 staff members, all striving for a community where everyone is Beheld, Beloved, and Belongs. Personal journeys, like that of Rob (pictured above)—who moved from several years on the street to a home—breathe life into the transformation we are witnessing.

Ark Aid Street Mission is at the forefront of the battle against homelessness in our city, but they need your support to expand care and offer longer term systemic solutions. They are innovating services to support the unhoused in all types of weather and continually striving to uphold the human rights of food, shelter, and clean water, while honouring the infinite dignity of all people.

We are appealing to the federal, provincial, and municipal government to commit much-needed resources to ensure that Ark Aid Street Mission's life-saving and life-stabilizing services are funded year-round.
