Secure bond for non-convicted & detained Naquan “DL Whisperer” Palmer

Secure bond for non-convicted & detained Naquan “DL Whisperer” Palmer
The Issue
I'm writing to bring to your attention a pressing and deeply concerning issue of medical neglect and potential constitutional violations involving Naquan Palmer, also known publicly as the "DL Whisperer." Naquan is a social media content creator whose platform plays a crucial role in educating women about identifying men who secretly engage in same-sex relationships while maintaining a facade of heterosexuality. This work addresses a significant public health issue with documented implications for the transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Naquan, has been sitting in Gilmer County Detention Center in Ellijay, Georgia without bond since his arrest. He has NOT been convicted of any crime. Naquan is charged with felony aggravated stalking, a charge he disputes and is actively fighting. We are not asking anyone to ignore that charge. We are demanding that his constitutional rights be upheld while he waits for his day in court. A charge is not a conviction. Since February 21, 2026, Naquan has been denied adequate medical care. That is over six weeks. Medical requests have been denied or ignored. Between March 25–31, 2026, he experienced a medical emergency that received no adequate response from detention staff. This is not acceptable. This is not legal. This is a constitutional violation. Pretrial detainees are protected under the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process Clause, which guarantees adequate medical care and prohibits punishment before conviction. Gilmer County is failing that standard. We are calling on Judge Brenda Weaver, Gilmer County Superior Court and Sheriff Stacy Nicholson, Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office to: 1. Grant pretrial bond based on community ties and no documented flight risk 2. Provide immediate medical evaluation and treatment addressing the neglect dating to February 21, 2026 3. Conduct a transparent review of medical request logs and grievance filings at Gilmer County Detention Center Here is how you can help right now: ∙ Sign and share the petition on every platform you have ∙ Drop the petition link on the Ellijay, GA Facebook page where Sheriff Nicholson is active ∙ Share with any Georgia journalist or news outlet covering criminal justice ∙ Screenshot and repost Every signature creates pressure. A charge is not a conviction. Silence is not an option.
