Secure a New Home for Gillian's Wonderland Carousel

The Issue

The Gillian's Wonderland carousel is more than an antique, it is a platform where happiness is shared, childhood memories are created, and our heritage is preserved.

However, the closing of Gillian's Wonderland will endanger this carousel, with the chance of it being sold piecemeal, and being lost forever.

Carousels have been an integral part of American culture since the 1900s. Antique carousels, such as the one at Gillian's Wonderland, are rare gems. From the 6,000 carousels produced during the golden age of carousels (1890-1930), only around 180 exist today (National Carousel Association).

These carousels are a testament to our history, each figure intricately carved and hand-painted mirrors the artistic capabilities of the time. Therefore, it is not just an amusement ride, but a beautiful piece of art, a living, rotating museum that warrants preservation and continued admiration.

Let's work together to ensure that the Gillian's Wonderland Carousel continues to be a source of joy for families. We ask local authorities and business owners to find a new, appropriate place for the carousel. Where it can still be accessible and enjoyed by everyone. Our collective action will ensure that future generations too can enjoy the experience of a grand carousel ride.

Please, take a moment to sign this petition and help us save the Gillian's Wonderland Carousel.
