For the past 10 years Buffalo Public Schools have participated in Section VI football, providing our children with looks from recruiters that were rare as a part of The Harvard cup. BPS students have at times dominated many of the teams they played which in and of itself shows these kids deserve to compete here. As coach Tim Delaney of South Park H.S. stated, this move is counterproductive. What was the purpose of this move? Why weren’t BPS parents able to weigh in? This move does the children a disservice! Allow BPS to compete and let the winners be chosen on the field not in a conference room.
