Hello Everyone, I’ve given my all to STOP the 90 Freeway Tear Down! It's rewarding to see our cause make positive progress BUT we haven’t declared victory yet. We’re almost there. All I need is some help from supporters who signed, viewed and/or shared this petition. My STOP the 90 Tear Down! letter to US Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, was received and put in the Streets For All grant request application file. The organization is requesting $2,000,000 to conduct a feasibility study focused on tearing down the CA 90 Freeway. Yes, you read it correct, $2million dollars.
Within the next 3-5 months the U.S. Department of Transportation, led by Secretary Pete Buttigieg, will make the decision to grant $2million dollars to the Streets For All organization to conduct a feasibility study focused on demolishing the CA 90 Freeway. We can’t let that happen. Streets For All founder, Michael Schneider, is committed to raising federal and private funds to tear down the CA 90 Freeway and replace it with his Marina Central Park concept. The nation saw the negative impact of the recent 10 freeway fire in downtown Los Angeles. The pubic safety and quality of life impact of Tearing Down the CA 90 freeway will be unimaginably worse. Secretary Buttigieg MUST REJECT Michael Schneider's Streets For All grant application. $2million dollars to study a concept that more than 8,000 supporters and community members DO NOT WANT is a complete waste of government funding.
