We urge you as Secretary of the Interior to uphold your word to protect Theodore Roosevelt National Park and its viewshed from the impacts of the Bakken oil development.

In order to protect this landscape that was so sacred to our 26th president, Theodore Roosevelt, we ask that you establish strong consultation amongst the agencies under your purview, such as the National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management in the approval process for any development that may negatively impact park resources, including viewsheds, water, historic character, habitat, and park visitor experience.

Such impacts need to be minimized for the sake of the park.
