Save the Free Butt!

Save the Free Butt!
We live in the Phoenix Brewery site in Brighton, The old Pub the Freebutt has been acquired by Developers . Although we mounted a protest and Brighton Council Planning Department refused their proposal , unfortunately they have now gone over our heads to the Secretary of State to appeal the decision. We want to save the Free Butt as it is one of the last buildings surviving from the original Phoenix Brewery site.
It is really important to us that this building's history is kept alive and the building is used as a resource for the community and wider Brighton area.
We are also interested in any photographs or memorabilia from the Brewery times and also from the Free Butt Music Festivals.
Please can you contact me as soon as possible on residentsphoenix@gmail.com with any photos or memorabilia.
We have to counter appeal by the 19th of October and historical evidence pertaining to the Pub and it's history and this petition will be critical to supporting our appeal and saving this piece of local history.
We don't want to destroy our history, we want to celebrate it and we need your help to do so!
