The UK government has licensed a pesticide for use in farming sugar beet which has been banned by the EU because of the severe harm to the health of bees and consequently to insect and plant populations in general. Why does the National Farmers Union want to produce more sugar beet in the UK and why is the UK government supporting their actions that will have a long-term impact on the bees, and flora and fauna environment? 

This petition calls for a comprehensive justification from the UK government and National Farmers Union for committing such severe harm in our names.
