This is an objection that you can also copy and paste to the Redbridge council planning application portal. I have written regarding the planning application for Recorder House 539 Ilford High Road reference number: 4570/18/04: On behalf of numerous local residents and community action groups we still maintain our opposition to any continued development plans for this site on 539 Ilford High Road which is situated in a highly polluted and congested area and is therefore not environmentally suitable for a housing scheme of 134 flats rising up to 13 storeys that will also reduce more natural daylight in a neighbourhood that is suffering from enough obstructions to sunlight already considering the sheer amount of other flats built around Ilford already. Also as the housing scheme is 13 storeys high it is now of course subject to the new Greater London Authority rule stating that all building of 18 metres or 5 storeys and above should have dual staircases in them for fire safety reasons and therefore in respect of updated building regulations and public safety this development should be put on hold due to the fact that two staircases are still not being included within these plans.
