The Issue
There are so many people in the UK receiving medication at home, for various illnesses. For example some people need weekly medication for Cancer treatment, Crohns disease, Arthritis, and many other illnesses that need regular treatment. These medicines are provided by Sciensus, previously known as Healthcare at home. This company is payed millions by the NHS to manage, dispense and deliver medication to patients at their home. Many of these medications are time sensitive. For example for some patients, a break in the regular cycle of taking their medication, can have significant consequences on their health. For some this could mean a hospital visit or stay or worse.
Sciensus is not providing the service that they are payed to do. Medications are not being delivered to the patients as needed. Complaints are being ignored. Patients are spending hour upon hour, day after day calling Sciensus customer service, trying to order their next batch of medicines or chasing up failed deliveries or arranging nurse visits. This service is failing the patients who rely on it, on a daily basis.
A review of Sciensus providing Healthcare at home, needs to take place.
Patients need to have a reliable service, one that can deliver their medications on time. These people have enough to deal with on a daily basis, without having the stress of worrying if they are going to get their medication or not.
You only have to read the reviews on social media to see the scale of the problem with using this company.
