A fire in the Bronx at 6:51pm at 2363 Prospect Ave on December 28, 2017, Emmanuel Mensah lost his life after thoughtlessly running in to a 4 alarm fire to save several lives, ultimately in exchange for his own. 

The Army can sometimes lose track of everything going on at once, and a lot of the times, situations like this go unnoticed. I think a small token of appreciation from his country is the least that can be done for the brave deed done by this man who had his whole life ahead of him. 

Lets pass this around and get him the honor he deserves. In the Army I believe it's the Soldiers Medal, the highest medal one can receive for bravery outside of combat. Below is a link to a NY Post article if you would like more details.
