Animal captivity is not good for animals, and for several different reasons. Animals can develop a condition in captivity called zoochosis. Zoochosis is "an invariant, repetitive behavior pattern with no apparent goal or function" and most animals in captivity suffer from stress and depression. They can even go insane and try to kill themselves.

The animals are trapped in captivity with nothing to do, helpless. They can't even interact with other species. It's nothing like in the wild. You can't learn from these places. How are you going to learn about animals in the wild, when they're locked up in cages? 

Everything that people are doing to animals in captivity is wrong. So why are we supporting these terrible places when we could be making change and helping these animals?
