I started this petition because I am passionate about animal rights. Orcas and dolphins are being captured at SeaWorld. They are being taken out of their home in a cruel manner. Recently Texas just filed a lawsuit for SeaWorld San Antonio: The lawsuit was filed less than two weeks after SeaWorld announced the launch of a national advertising campaign promoting its "commitment to killer whale care." The campaign, it says, is in response to animal-rights groups, including the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, that have been critical of how the theme-park whales are treated. The company has come under intense public scrutiny since the release of the 2013 documentary "Blackfish," which explored the death of a SeaWorld trainer killed by a whale in 2010. The film contends whales become more aggressive when kept in captivity. SeaWorld is now covering up their lies with a new campaign called "ask seaworld". It isn't doing very well! They also state that their animals are "thriving". Also CNN stated that the people saying all those things were actors. These animals are getting separated from their pods and becoming depressed, lonely and having serious health issues. Help stop this horror, would you like it if you were trapped in a tank all day and forced to do shows? No. So start signing now.
