Fort Lawton School being considered by School Board, The door is still open!

After concerned parents and members of Fort Lawton School Coalition spoke at a School Board meeting in August, the door for a school at Fort Lawton is still open. The opportunity to receive free land for the district has a large ripple effect down it's entire list of capital projects. The capacity issues in the Queen Anne/ Magnolia cluster are some of the most severe in the district and the school board wishes to determine more information before a decision can be made. However, the Environmental Impact Statement by the city is being worked upon this fall, so it is important that the school district request it's addition to the EIS very soon.
