Sears Canada is rebranding/restructuring and planning to emerge as a leaner version of itself using approximately $450 million

Recently, 2900 employees have been laid off, many of whom will never see severance even if they're entitled to it. Faithful long term employees of 20+ years, who very recently signed contracts for severance over a period of time (what was offered) are now being cut off after approximately one month. Employees have also been made aware certain aspects of their pensions can be withheld over a period of time or not released at all.

This company needs to take care of the people who helped it survive at all. This company needs to be held accountable for contracts that have been signed! Before there are any loans, bailouts, redesigns or restructures, this company needs to clean up the mess it has made in so many lives. 

Do we want a strong Canadian company? Yes. 

Do we want strong Canadian families? Yes. 

Sears Canada, pay what you have agreed to your employees. Redesign with what is left. 

Restructure your severance packages before your store front.
