Beddingfield High School Band Boosters
Jul 31, 2014
We are once again on the front page of the Wilson Times this morning. We still have a lot of educating to do -- continue to spread the word to the members of the School Board. There are enough students enrolled in the program at Speight at this time to warrant a full-time position, BUT the classes could be split into two 6th grade classes and a combined 7th/8th grade class as a compromise. In reference to the number of students that matriculate from the 8th grade band feeder schools to Beddingfield, it should be noted that over the last 5 years there has been an average of 30-50% each year. The national average is 20-25%. Even with the obstacles faced, Mr. Green has been recruiting more than the national average!!
We also wanted to share a word from Mr. Green this morning: Thanks for all of your support and kind words. I have been truly touched by all of the love. So he's a little Beddingfield Symphonic Band to brighten your day!

This was from the 2011 Eastern NCBA Eastern District MPA Performance. As best I can recall, there were fewer than 30 kids performing on stage. I may be off on that by a few, but not by much.
