SEAL THE EINASLEIGH-THE LYND JUNCTION ROAD - STRENGTHEN OUR REGION
The issue
We call on the Queensland Government, through TMR, to commit to the progressive sealing of the Einasleigh–Oasis Road, with the support and advocacy of Etheridge Shire Council. This road is a vital link for our community, supporting residents, agriculture, tourism, mining and local businesses. Years of deterioration have left sections of the road in poor condition, raising serious concerns about safety, vehicle damage and reliable access. With renewable energy developments at Kidston and associated heavy vehicle traffic placing further demands on the road, the need for a long-term solution is increasingly important. We call for a clear, funded plan to progressively seal the road, alongside urgent safety improvements. Our community deserves safe, reliable road access that supports regional development and our future. Sign and share this petition. Together, let's strengthen our region!
Important clarification – Road Name The road is locally known as the Einasleigh–Oasis Road but is more widely recognised as the Einasleigh to The Lynd Junction Road, forming part of the Kennedy Developmental Road. To ensure our campaign is recognised by the wider community and travelling public, we have updated our group's name to the Einasleigh to The Lynd Junction Road Action Group. Our goal remains unchanged: to secure the sealing of this important regional road, improving safety, accessibility and supporting the future growth of our region.
PS:
A Thank You to Our Supporters Thank you to everyone who has generously contributed in support of our campaign to seal the Einasleigh–Oasis Road. Please note that our Action Group is not seeking donations. We have contacted Change.org to have the contribution facility removed and are awaiting their response. In the meantime, we kindly ask that no further contributions be made. Your signatures, sharing the petition and providing letters of support and photos of road conditions are greatly appreciated. Thank you for standing with us to strengthen our region!
