Ghost nets are drift nets left behind by fishing boats which become marine litter. This litter becomes hazardous to the marine life as they can become entangled in the nets, suffocate then die. It is affecting animals such as sharks, turtles, dolphins, and whales. All life in the ocean is precious and are connected to life on land in one way or another.
