Currently, we are undergoing a massive pandemic, and the only way of fighting it is to reduce as much human contact as possible. However, this is not being done in the British Columbian Education System. New cases are rising day by day, but no new solutions are being put out. This is especially prominent in schools where there are no mandates for masks, not enough enforcement regarding social distancing, and such. School outbreaks have also been rising, but they are not closing down schools. This makes no sense because lockdowns/shutdowns are a key measure to prevent the virus leaking out into the community, and/or potentially passing onto more vulnerable people like the elderly. We absolutely need to make a change, and BC should listen to our voices if they are truly concerned of their student's, and the public's health.
