My child has personally been impacted by false and unsupported allegations of misconduct made by administrators within the Sodus Central School District. These actions were not isolated mistakes, but part of a broader pattern in which students are targeted without adequate investigation, documentation, or due process.

Parents have repeatedly raised serious concerns regarding administrative conduct, including retaliatory responses when families question decisions or present evidence of policy or legal violations. Rather than addressing these concerns transparently, district leadership has too often minimized or ignored them, allowing harm to continue unchecked.

As parents and students of the Sodus Central School District, we demand accountability, transparency, and lawful governance from those entrusted with educating and safeguarding our children. It is unacceptable that documented concerns are dismissed, that parents feel silenced, and that a climate of fear or hostility persists for students and families alike.

National data consistently shows that a significant portion of students experience bullying or unjust disciplinary treatment in schools. When leadership fails to intervene appropriately, these harms are allowed to escalate. At Sodus, every student deserves a safe, fair, and supportive learning environment, free from retaliation, intimidation, or misuse of authority.

Our children’s education, emotional well-being, and access to instruction must be the district’s top priorities. Administrators and board members are public servants, and with that role comes the obligation to act ethically, lawfully, and in the best interests of the students they serve.

A thorough, independent investigation into administrative conduct and disciplinary practices
Transparent communication with parents regarding complaints, findings, and corrective actions
Clear policies and enforcement measures to prevent retaliation against students or families
Mandatory staff training focused on fair discipline, de-escalation, and conflict resolution
Restoring trust through meaningful oversight and accountability

We call on the Sodus Board of Education to take immediate and decisive action by supporting a Vote of No Confidence in the current Superintendent and Assistant Principal leadership.

Our district needs leadership that demonstrates integrity, fairness, accountability, and respect for families. Silence and inaction are no longer acceptable.
