Hi, I am a student at Passaic County Technical Institute, my major in this school is Health and Medical. This class involves me moving around and interacting with such things as fake blood, fake urine, and other liquids. With the uniforms that we are required to wear, it feels very uncomfortable, and I am always worried about if I am going to get my khakis dirty or if they rip while Im doing something proactive. I believe that medical students should have the right to wear scrubs because, from what I know, you don't see doctors wearing khakis to undergo surgery or even at a doctor's visit. I find it unfair that other classes, such as child development and cosmetology, have scrubs, and medical are just pushed to the sides and forced to wear clothes that could be easily ruined by the activities we encounter. If this rule changes for medical students to be allowed to wear scrubs, it will be much appreciated, and medical students all around will be able to know what it feels like and what the future might hold for them. I am taking a stand for my school and all around to help medical students be more advanced and comfortable in a sort of way.!
