Your support has helped this issue to get some serious attention: the petition was reported in the Daily Mail, our campaign has been mentioned in Parliament, and our hashtag #ScrapTheJobsTax has been used hundreds of times on social media. 

Meanwhile the damaging impact of this tax on the economy is becoming clearer by the day. In my job as Chief Economist at the Institute of Directors, I hear how it will mean even higher prices when inflation is already a problem, and also how it will force firms to cut back on hiring just when households are already worried about the rising cost of living. And because it's a tax on income, it reduces take-home pay for working people, making it even harder to pay the bills.
