We, the fans of the Premier League, are demanding the removal of VAR from English football before it completely destroys the passion, emotion, and soul of the game we love.

Football was never meant to be watched in silence while officials draw lines on a screen for five minutes. It was never meant to turn moments of pure joy into confusion, frustration, and anger. The game belonged to the fans — but VAR has taken that away.

Every week, supporters travel across the country, spend hard-earned money on tickets, shirts, travel, and subscriptions, only to have the life sucked out of matches by constant delays and baffling decisions. Goals can no longer be celebrated properly. Fans are scared to cheer because every magical moment might suddenly be ruled out by someone sat in a room miles away.

 

That is not football.

The atmosphere inside stadiums is dying. The raw emotion that made football special is disappearing. Rivalries, celebrations, last-minute winners — the moments that make people fall in love with the game — are now overshadowed by uncertainty and controversy.

VAR was supposed to remove mistakes, but instead it has created even more arguments, inconsistency, and resentment toward officials. Nobody understands the decisions anymore. Players are frustrated. Managers are furious. Most importantly, fans are losing their love for football.

We are tired of:

 

. Waiting minutes for decisions nobody agrees with.

. Celebrating goals with hesitation instead of passion.

. Microscopic offside calls ruining unforgettable moments.

. Referees hiding behind screens instead of trusting their instincts.

. The game becoming more about technology than football itself.

. Football is emotional. Football is imperfect. That is what makes it beautiful.

We call on the Premier League and the Professional Game Match Officials Limited to remove VAR immediately and give the game back to the supporters.

Bring back real football.
Bring back real celebrations.
Bring back the love of the game.
