We, the citizens of India, strongly oppose the unjust system of lifetime pensions for Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs).

👉 A government employee or other worker must serve upto the age of 60 years with 20–40 years of service before earning small amount of pension even after contributing on their own. 
👉 An MP/MLA, after just 5 years in office, enjoys lifelong pension, often alongside multiple other perks. This pension may also be multifolded and multilayered cascaded pension, not just a single pension. 
👉 This is not “public service” – it is VIP privilege at the expense of taxpayers. So, they are not defining "Voice of public"- but "Bloodsuckers".

At a time when:

Farmers struggle for fair income,

Youth struggle for jobs,

Serving employees struggle for Old Pension Scheme,

Common man struggle with high level of taxes, 

…it is UNACCEPTABLE that politicians secure lifetime financial comfort without accountability just after 5 years of term.

We demand:

1. Complete abolition of MP/MLA pensions. 

OR

2. Reform to ensure pensions are provided only on the same terms as ordinary government servants (years of service, contribution rules, etc.).

This is about justice, equality, and respect for taxpayers’ money.

We, the undersigned citizens of India, urge the Government and all political parties to Scrap MP/MLA pensions immediately.
