Scrap The Nationwide Emergency Alert System

The Issue

At 3pm on Sunday 23rd April 2023, nearly everyone was alerted to a large noise and an alert for approx. 10 seconds. The UK's first nationwide emergency alert test. It applies to any "smart"  device compatible with 4G and 5G and public buildings. These alerts were pre-installed without our permission, and yet, app permissions cannot be removed, notifications can be set to "silent", but if you please check the attached screenshots below I can prove that the news is LYING in how much of it we can control.  "Unchecked" (alerts that you haven't received or muted) are recorded and the Emergency Alerts app cannot be deleted nor disabled. The message said that it's just a test in case of natural disasters, terrorist attacks, etc. This is a clear assault on our privacy, Air Raid sirens, radar systems, the news, weather stations and satellites are supposed to pick up any threats or weather problems and send alerts without issue, so there should be an optional choice to install this software and we shouldn't all be subjected to something that: 1) We didn't ask for; and 2) Won't really help in an emergency. I say this because it's just noise, stress and will only exasperate a dire situation, also broadcast equipment is extremely hackable and has been compromised five times from 2013-2020. I am therefore requesting that the Monarchy and Government remove this application from all systems and have it available on the IOS App Store, Google Play and so on as an option that the ever important PEOPLE of this country can CHOOSE whether to install...or not. The company that makes this system is Everbridge (from the US), who work closely with FEMA, the FCC and the NOAA, and now the UK Government too. Their tech's numerous false alerts have induced panic, fear and have caused unnecessary incidents to occur in Canada, Japan, South Korea and The US itself. Thank you for taking the time out to read this and I hope this petition makes it to Parliament.
