Bristol City Council and Mayor Rees have decided to introduce Clean Air Zone charges:

£100 for HGV (over 3.5t), buses, coaches

£9 for private petrol/diesel cars, taxis, LGV (under 3.5t)

Please rethink how paying the above daily charges would affect you, your family, your friends, your business, your life!

This petition is not against principles of introducing Clean Air Zones to improve air quality and to reduce air pollution. It's against chargeable CAZ and putting more taxes, fines, unfair charges on people.

Clean Air Zone Framework 2017/2020 gives local authorities choice to introduce chargeable or non-chargeable CAZ. Rebecca Pow (DEFRA) said: 'You do not want to penalise society'. It seems that this is exactly what Bristol City Council and Mayor Rees are trying to do: penalise people for entering Bristol CAZ!
