Suffolk county's pistol permit wait time is not only ridiculous it is illegal. There are hundreds if not thousands of law abiding citizens waiting to get there pistol permit to be able to defend themselves. By law the county has 6 months to approve or deny the request to possess a hand gun and there currently wait time is hovering around 2 years. (This has been confirmed by the Yaphank office)

By neglecting to adhere to New York states penal law article 400 they are commiting a civil rights violation. With enough names phone numbers and a potential donation to legal fees we can take Suffolk County to court and demand our rights.
